Throwback Thursday: She and I

There is absolutely no relationship that I cherish more than me and my mother's. Endlessly supportive, brave, strong, her love is unconditional and vast. You see for us it goes beyond a mother/daughter relationship. She's my best friend, she motivates and compels me forward. I feel so blessed that God saw fit to bring me into this world by such a phenomenal person, that sometimes I stand in awe of her. In awe of her strength.
Her love for me is nothing short of inspirational. I can only hope to be half the mom she is when I have kids one day. Married to my daddy for 41 years, their love is why I just can't settle for some mediocre relationship. My parents went in on the marriage and commitment thing and mastered it. That's where my confidence comes from. When you have unconditional love and support from your mom and dad you don't feel the need to rush into anything, because you've got that base. You KNOW what it feels like to have real love, so you won't cheat yourself with the fake sh*t. I know I'm rambling on but, I just felt inspired by her today.
